I have a new pallet I can't wait to tell you about. My Violet Voss Drenched Metal eyeshadow palette arrived a couple of weeks ago but I haven't found the right time to test it until this weekend (YAY) ! First things first. I found this palette pretty pricy but on the other hand you get 20 shades. I don't like the packaging so I hoped the content would make up for it. I wanted to use a pop of color for this look so I went straight for the blue. I tried to create over the top smokey blue eyes. Great for a party or a runway.
The first color I used from the palette didn't give the best impression. I went for "Mermaid Vixen" in the crease. This was too green for my taste. So I stopped and went for "I'm so fancy" (anybody else thinking about that song?). The pigmentation for all colors is quite good. But blending the colors wasn't all that easy breezy. I had a hard time at first but once I got the hang of it I was loving it. So first impression wasn't great but as my look progressed (and switching brushes) I started to like how it turned out. Other colors like "Poppin" & "Kisses" applied beautifully. I love the fact that the black "Midnight Tryst" is matte. Overall I like the pigmentation. I might not be the biggest fan of the texture but once you get it on the lid it works. I can't wait to use it for another look ! If you want it to buy and test it yourself go to cultbeauty.co.
